Description
Blue Origin is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its TeraWave satellite communications network. The role leads development of multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++ for Linux, real-time operating system, and bare-metal platforms running on multi-core SoCs, including device drivers and control, management, and data-plane functions for satellite RF transceivers, antenna systems, optical systems, customer terminals, and ground gateways. Responsibilities include architecture, prototyping, performance optimization, fault tolerance, hardware/software integration, debugging, CI/CD, automated testing, TDD, technical documentation, code reviews, and mentoring. The position is onsite in the Greater Seattle Area, Bay Area, or San Diego, with a temporary remote-work exception during site development, and requires at least 5 years of embedded software experience plus U.S. work authorization meeting export-control requirements.
