Blue Origin is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the TeraWave Software and Networking Team to design and implement real-time MAC data-plane software for a high-capacity satellite communications network. The role focuses on timed packet processing, queues and buffers, retransmission and loss recovery, integration with PHY and modem hardware, FPGAs, DMA engines, network interfaces and custom SoCs, and performance optimization for stringent throughput and latency requirements. The engineer will work from architecture and prototyping through hardware integration, qualification and deployment. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and at least seven years of software-development experience in wireless, embedded, communications or high-performance packet processing.
