Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its AI Platform & Tools team within Windows Platform & Developer. The role builds developer tools and workflows for AI development, optimization, and deployment on Windows and Edge devices, including CLIs, SDKs, APIs, and VS Code integrations. The engineer will collaborate across AI, Windows, hardware, and open-source teams and drive projects from design through delivery. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Preferred qualifications include C++ or Python software engineering experience, AI framework or inference runtime experience, GPU programming, debugging and system design skills, production software experience, compiler experience, PyTorch, Triton or SGLang, on-device AI, model optimization, heterogeneous computing, and DirectX technologies.
