Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Windows Solutions FDE to work directly with strategic enterprise customers on complex Windows technical challenges. The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues across device provisioning, deployment, management, updates, applications, performance, reliability, and security; building automation, scripts, tools, and prototypes; collaborating with product engineering; and converting successful customer solutions into reusable guidance and product improvements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, along with Microsoft, customer, or government security screening eligibility. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800 to USD 234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
