Microsoft is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers responsible for the availability, resiliency, security, observability, automation, incident response, scaling, and failover of large-scale ad serving systems across hybrid on-premises and Azure environments. The role requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding; equivalent experience is also accepted. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, extensive people management and Linux experience, observability tool expertise, cloud migration, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and distributed systems knowledge. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800–234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
