May Mobility is hiring a Senior Performance Engineer for its Behavior Planning team to own latency, throughput, memory utilization, and thread safety in a real-time autonomous-vehicle decision-making pipeline. The role involves profiling and instrumenting the pipeline, optimizing high-frequency execution, improving concurrency and cache utilization, building performance guardrails in CI/CD, and designing low-overhead C++ interfaces. Candidates need strong systems and C++ expertise, profiling experience, and a relevant bachelor’s degree; prior autonomous-vehicle, robotics, or high-throughput real-time control experience is desirable.
