Description

The Model-Based Design Engineer will deliver tested and verified embedded software generated through Model-Based Development for home-appliance ECU production. Responsibilities include understanding system requirements, defining software architecture and requirements, developing Simulink/Stateflow models, migrating legacy C code, performing static and dynamic analysis, defining model verification test strategies, automating MBD workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires 5–8 years of model-based design and development experience, MIL/SIL testing experience, V&V tool experience, embedded C knowledge, and familiarity with modeling guidelines and control theory.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5–8 years of model-based design and development experience using Simulink/Stateflow
Experience performing MIL and SIL testing across unit, integration, and system levels
Experience preparing unit, integration, and system test specifications from software requirements and design
At least 3 years of experience using V&V tools such as TPT, Simulink Test, and M-test
At least 3 years of experience implementing model-based development according to MAAB, JMAAB, or MISRA guidelines
At least 3 years of experience handling V&V tools such as MXAM and Simulink Design Verifier
Experience using vector tools
Good knowledge and experience with embedded C
2–4 years of embedded software development experience
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Relationship management, diplomacy, communication, influence, and negotiation skills
Ability to work as part of a global team across different time zones
Solutions-focused attitude and ability to navigate challenges
Decision-making ability and flexibility
Highly organized with attention to detail
Spontaneous planning and ability to support people productively
Deep knowledge of control theory applied to electromechanical systems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Knowledge of modeling guidelines
Knowledge of model-based design processes and practices
