L3Harris is hiring a Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer in Palm Bay, Florida, to lead thermal design, analysis, and testing for optical systems in space and ground environments. The role directs multidisciplinary engineering teams, performs thermal and finite-element analyses, supports system architecture and trade studies, leads thermal test plans and program reviews, and interfaces with customers and suppliers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and four years, or ten years without a degree, along with thermal-analysis, thermal-vacuum-testing, and team-leadership experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
