Renesas Electronics is hiring an Application Engineer for its Performance Computing Power Application Engineering team to support AI and cloud infrastructure power solutions. The role focuses on validating digital multiphase controllers and Smart Power Stages, evaluating algorithms with FPGA and microcontrollers, modeling DC-DC converters with SIMPLIS or MATLAB, developing evaluation boards, and creating application collateral. Candidates need strong DC/DC and power-management knowledge, including multiphase buck converters, control-loop theory, component selection, and lab instrumentation; embedded programming and Verilog-to-FPGA experience are highly desired. An MS or Ph.D. is required, with an alternative path for a New College Graduate with an MS or Ph.D. and two years of equivalent industry experience.
