Description
STMicroelectronics is hiring a Thermal-Mechanical Simulation Engineer to support R&D product development for precision opto-mechanical assemblies. The role uses finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, multiphysics studies, material characterization, and failure investigation to improve product performance, manufacturability, and robustness. The engineer will collaborate with package, optical, substrate, and core design teams, work across multiple time zones, and travel at short notice. The position requires a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, strong thermal and solid-mechanics knowledge, at least five years of relevant experience, and proficiency with tools such as SolidWorks, FMEA, and Python.
