Description
Checkr is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the long-term design of its core systems, drive cross-organizational technical initiatives, and help establish an enterprise architecture for an API-first, scalable platform. The role involves owning high-impact engineering efforts, breaking complex projects into maintainable systems, setting architectural standards, supporting buy-vs-build decisions, and mentoring engineering and product teams. Candidates need a computer science or related degree, extensive software engineering and leadership experience, and expertise in Ruby, GoLang, Python, cloud technologies, microservices, asynchronous queueing, and real-time and batch data pipelines. The role is based in Checkr’s hub locations in Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, or Santiago, with an expectation of working from the office at least three days per week.
