Description
The Senior Central Sterile Processing Technician coordinates, assigns, and monitors instrument technicians in the collection, decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, storage, distribution, and case-cart filling of equipment and supplies throughout the hospital. The role also oversees sterilization quality assurance, trains and mentors instrument technicians, orders specialty items, maintains inventory, and supports emergency and specialty carts. Candidates must hold an active CRCST or CBSPD certification, demonstrate knowledge of sterilization, infection control, patient-care equipment, and surgical instrumentation, and possess leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
