Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Storage Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and optimize enterprise storage infrastructure supporting silicon development, EDA tool simulations, and related workflows. The role covers on-premises and cloud SAN/NAS technologies, replication, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, compliance, documentation, and project leadership, with collaboration across silicon design, CAD, operations, and infrastructure engineering. The position requires a relevant degree and substantial technical engineering experience, with preferred qualifications including enterprise storage administration, scripting, semiconductor engineering experience, storage platforms, protocols, backup solutions, certifications, and cloud storage. Compensation is USD 119,800–234,700 per year in the United States, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
