Description

Blue Origin is hiring a Senior Structural Analyst – Electronics Packaging to own end-to-end structural analysis for TeraWave satellite line replaceable units, avionics enclosures, power electronics, PCB assemblies, and related hardware from requirements definition through qualification and production release. The role involves finite element and classical structural analysis, dynamic and thermal-mechanical environments, structural testing and model correlation, supplier and design reviews, technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring for high-rate satellite production.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 8 years of structural analysis experience in aerospace, spacecraft, launch vehicle, defense, or other high-reliability hardware
Experience analyzing avionics, electronics packaging, enclosures, LRUs, PCBAs, or similar hardware in vibration, shock, and thermal environments
Experience supporting qualification or acceptance testing, including planning, instrumentation, data review, model correlation, and anomaly resolution
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or a related field
Fatigue, fracture mechanics, cumulative damage, or life assessment experience
Knowledge of spacecraft environmental requirements and qualification standards, including vibration, shock, TVAC, thermal cycling, and EMI/RFI considerations
Experience developing repeatable structural analysis methods for high-rate production
Cross-functional collaboration across design, electrical, thermal, manufacturing, systems, and test teams
Experience mentoring engineers, leading technical reviews, or establishing analysis best practices
