The role involves analyzing plans and specifications, comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations, assessing risks and margins, checking plans and arithmetic, visiting construction sites, tracking additional or omitted work, and collaborating with project management, engineering, and external partners. Candidates need a bachelor's or master's degree in construction engineering or equivalent experience, estimator experience preferably on structural projects, and proficiency with construction plans and estimating software such as KPD, AutoCAD, or MS Project.
