Description
Blue Origin is hiring an experienced structural engineer to lead the complete engineering lifecycle for Stage 1 Mid Module structures on the New Glenn heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle. The role covers planning, conceptual and detailed design, CAD and drawing release, structural and finite element analysis, procurement, manufacturing support, integrated and qualification testing, and resolution of non-conformances while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across sites. Applicants need a relevant engineering bachelor's degree, at least eight years of professional engineering experience, expertise in mechanics of materials and structural design, experience with large aerospace structures and metallic manufacturing, 3D CAD and PDM tools, and hands-on hardware experience. The role is associated with Blue Origin's Washington operations and requires up to 20% travel to suppliers and a Florida manufacturing facility.
