Description
The Senior Structural Engineer will lead structural analysis and design for ocean technology systems, including automated sizing algorithms, Nastran FEA workflows, load spectra, stress and fatigue analysis, and stress analysis of core subsystems. The role also involves CAD and PDM design support, design reviews, vendor coordination, and ownership of designs through fabrication and deployment. Candidates need an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, extensive structural-analysis experience, FEA and coding skills, and at least five design, build, test, and deploy cycles. The position is full-time, based in Portland, Oregon, with intermittent travel and compensation of $150,000–$250,000 plus equity and health, dental, and vision insurance.
