Description

Intact is seeking a Senior Structural or Building Forensic Engineer to investigate and analyze building damage cases across Canada, primarily focusing on Edmonton. The role involves determining the root causes of damage, documenting findings, and potentially testifying in court. The successful candidate will collaborate with claims teams, conduct site visits, and utilize advanced engineering knowledge to resolve complex building issues.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: University degree in Civil, Structural and/or Building Engineering or combination of Education and relevant experience
Required Previous Experiences: A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Member in good standing with APEGA Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta
Have a valid driver's licence and a good driving record.
Advanced knowledge of buildings, construction methods.
Advanced knowledge of part 9 of the Canadian building code and part 3 and 4 is considered an asset.
Experience in the insurance field and as an expert before the courts is considered an important asset.
Strong professional presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.
