Description

STV is seeking a Senior Structural/Tunneling Engineer to join their Centers of Excellence division in New York City. This role involves leading the design and analysis of complex underground structures like tunnels and caverns, overseeing site investigations, developing construction plans, conducting structural calculations, utilizing CAD software, performing QA/QC checks, preparing project reports, monitoring construction, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in structural engineering, particularly for underground structures, with extensive experience in complex projects.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on underground structures.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is preferred.
Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, especially related to underground structures and experience with complex projects.
Advanced understanding of engineering software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, GT STRUDEL, LARSA, CSiBridge, RISA, MIDAS and MATHCAD.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to lead a team.
Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work with clients and other stakeholders.
Experience with project management, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
