Description
The Senior Synapse Engineer builds, optimizes, and maintains an Azure Synapse environment that replaces Alteryx workflows. The role develops SQL transformations, pipelines, datasets, linked services, notebooks, and data flows; optimizes dedicated SQL pools; implements CI/CD in Azure DevOps or GitHub; manages security, access roles, and auditing; and monitors performance, costs, and autoscaling. The engineer collaborates with onsite Data Modelers and Conversion Analysts and provides architectural guidance. The position requires 5+ years of data engineering experience, including 3+ years in Azure Synapse, along with ETL/ELT, migration, Delta Lake, Parquet, and CI/CD experience.
