Amazon is hiring a Senior System Development Engineer to lead and contribute to the Optical Inter-Satellite Link (OISL) Network Operations team. The role owns the network operations strategy, tooling roadmap, automation, observability, incident response, capacity planning, and operational readiness for a large-scale LEO satellite laser-link network. Responsibilities include building monitoring and data-pipeline services, applying machine learning for fault correlation, leading complex link-failure investigations, and mentoring engineers. The position requires at least six years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience, along with large-scale infrastructure and network operations experience; it is a hybrid role based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 151,200 to 204,600 USD annually.
