AWS is hiring a Senior System Development Engineer in Core Networking to own and improve the software services and platforms that build, operate, monitor, and assure the AWS network within a region. The role combines operational excellence with engineering innovation, including incident response, root-cause analysis, automation, distributed-systems design, cross-team collaboration, and mentorship. Candidates must be Australian citizens eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance, with work based in Sydney or Melbourne and relocation support available. The role requires extensive Linux/Unix, systems development, systems design, programming, and large-scale infrastructure experience.
