Boeing Defence Australia is hiring a permanent Senior System Safety Engineer to support the E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control system at RAAF Base Williamtown, New South Wales. The role focuses on continuing airworthiness management, hazard analysis, risk assessments, safety case reporting, system safety review boards, engineering investigations, retained risk reviews, and coordination with Defence stakeholders. The engineer will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the system safety team and work toward Engineering Delegations. Applicants must hold tertiary engineering qualifications satisfying Engineers Australia membership requirements and be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements; experience with 3DX, JIRA, Confluence, and the WHS Act 2011 is highly desirable.
