NVIDIA is hiring a Chips System Software Engineer to architect and develop boot firmware for flagship CPUs used in automotive, datacenter, and other high-compute platforms. The role covers boot firmware feature development, functional and safety requirements, FMEA/DFA analysis, pre-silicon simulation, silicon verification, post-silicon support, and productization. Candidates need a BS or MS in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience, at least five years of relevant experience, strong C and Python skills, extensive Linux kernel experience, and embedded software development and verification experience; bootloader experience is a plus. The base salary range is 152,000–241,500 USD for Level 3 and 184,000–287,500 USD for Level 4, with equity and benefits.
