NVIDIA is hiring a Senior System Software Engineer to build NVIDIA Halos, a full-stack safety platform for physical AI systems including autonomous vehicles, humanoids, industrial robots, and intelligent machines. The role involves architecting and developing system software across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor-based environments; creating BSP, I/O virtualization, boot, driver, diagnostics, and platform software; developing safe and secure software using formal methods; optimizing mixed-criticality NVIDIA edge AI platforms; and improving debugging, tracing, logging, and performance analysis. Candidates need a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of system software and real-time embedded systems experience, strong C or Ada/SPARK skills, and experience with AI-assisted development tools. The base salary range is 184,000 USD to 287,500 USD for Level 4 and 224,000 USD to 356,500 USD for Level 5, with equity and benefits available.
