Description
This is a fully remote Senior Systems Engineer position focused on supporting a large-scale cloud infrastructure in the payments and financial services sector. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, building Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, developing Ansible playbooks, managing Kubernetes environments, configuring network components like VPCs, implementing security controls, optimizing performance and costs, automating operations, responding to incidents, and maintaining technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial experience with AWS and GCP, advanced Terraform knowledge, solid Ansible proficiency, strong Linux and networking fundamentals, Docker/Kubernetes experience, scripting skills in Bash or Python, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation. While not mandatory, experience in regulated or payments environments, cloud security frameworks, monitoring tools, and cost optimization practices are highly desirable.
