Onto Innovation is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to develop and optimize optical metrology technologies for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves aligning and validating complex optical systems, developing operational methods, designing experiments, communicating requirements to cross-functional teams, supporting first-in-fab installations, and creating procedures and training materials. Candidates need a Ph.D. in engineering or science focused on optical physics, 2–3 years of experience with complex optical systems and semiconductor capital equipment, programming and data-analysis skills, and international travel of at least 20%. The position offers a base salary of $115,200 to $172,800 plus bonus and incentive opportunities.
