Onto Innovation is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to develop and optimize optical metrology technologies for semiconductor capital equipment. The role involves defining system specifications, designing and conducting experiments, troubleshooting optical systems, supporting first-in-fab installations, creating procedures and training materials, and communicating results to cross-functional teams. Candidates need a Ph.D. in engineering or science focused on optical physics, more than five years of semiconductor capital equipment engineering experience, spectroscopic ellipsometry and precision optical integration experience, and proficiency with Python or Matlab. The position requires up to 20% international travel and offers a base salary of $128,000 to $192,000 plus bonus and long-term incentive opportunities.
