Apple is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its watchOS Systems team to build and optimize foundational software that drives Apple Watch performance and power efficiency. The role spans firmware, kernel, runtime, and application layers; includes OS architecture, memory and process lifecycle management, 64-bit architecture transition, power and performance diagnostics, and research and prototyping of new hardware and software technologies. The engineer will collaborate with Performance, Power, OS, and Hardware teams and require at least eight years of industry experience, low-level systems experience, and strong power and performance investigation skills.
