The Fiber Optic Equipment Maintenance and Testing Technician maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and documents fiber-optic equipment, including splicing and terminating single- and multi-core fibers, operating OTDR and interferometer machines, performing preventive maintenance, and analyzing test data. The role requires a relevant diploma, at least one year of equipment maintenance or testing experience, computer literacy, communication skills, and analytical ability; candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted subject to the hiring manager.
