Datacom is hiring Senior/Tech Lead AI Engineers for its Digital Engineering AI team in New Zealand and Australia. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven software solutions, including generative-AI applications, model integration, retrieval and embeddings, tool calling, reliability, and customer-facing technical communication. Candidates need at least seven years of professional software development experience, preferably with Python or TypeScript, and demonstrated production delivery of a generative-AI application using Azure OpenAI/Microsoft Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, or an equivalent platform.
