Description

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead hardware server platform development and delivery for Azure. The role manages cross-functional teams and partners across hardware, software, sourcing, supply chain, networking, and datacenter operations; develops plans of record, milestones, risk and scenario plans, and launch strategies; and coordinates with internal and external technology partners. Candidates need a bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, plus 2+ years managing cross-functional projects. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
Preferred Qualifications: BS in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience leading technical hardware and software projects from requirements through launch
3+ years of experience providing executive-level communications and program updates
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and implement features, infrastructure, processes, and workflows
Ability to create and operationalize processes and coach program managers
Ability to align stakeholders and manage projects through milestones to completion on schedule and budget
Ability to monitor engineering impact and performance through key performance indicators
Master's degree in engineering or a related discipline
Technical design, problem solving, debugging, and communication skills
Experience shipping high-quality products and services
Ability to manage ambiguity, assess opportunities, prioritize options, and drive issues to closure
Ability to collaborate with a wide range of business stakeholders
Presentation skills for senior executives and IT management
Supplier management experience with ODMs, SIs, and IHVs
Experience with Optics Switch systems
