Google is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary generative modeling and applied research initiatives for the SAGE team. The role manages feature planning, prioritization, resource requirements, risks, schedules, and cross-functional execution plans, and partners with research, product, and engineering teams to transition applied research into production. Candidates need a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of program management experience, AI/ML experience, and large language model training experience; preferred qualifications include cross-functional project management, Ads platform experience, software development lifecycle and ML pipeline experience, and technical project management in machine learning or applied research. The role is based in Mountain View, New York, or Pittsburgh, with compensation of $192,000–$278,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
