Description

SimSpace is hiring a Senior AI-Centric Threat Hunter to develop and test AI agent capabilities, design cybersecurity experiments, deliver instructional content, and facilitate Blue Team exercises for customers. The role combines advanced threat hunting, AI/ML engineering, RAG systems, Python and data science, security tooling, incident response, and customer mentorship, with travel estimated at 25–30%. The position offers a base salary of $120,000–$150,000 plus commission and comprehensive benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of technical experience in security operations, incident response, detection engineering, offensive security/red teaming, or cyber threat intelligence
Experience analyzing host, network, and application telemetry for attack indicators across the cyber kill chain
Experience with large datasets and log analysis tools including Splunk, Elastic, Python, Pandas, SQL, Hadoop, and Hue
Experience applying cyber threat intelligence through enrichment, correlation, and attribution
Experience setting up and troubleshooting security stacks
Familiarity with offensive security strategies and assessment methodology
Hands-on experience hunting indicators of compromise in enterprise-scale EDR and SIEM tools
Previous experience performing digital forensics or incident response on major security incidents
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in AI/ML engineering and experimentation with AI agents and LLM APIs
Deep understanding of AI agents, including decision loops, tool access frameworks, and memory systems
Hands-on experience architecting and deploying RAG systems
Advanced Python and data science/AI library proficiency
Familiarity with open-source AI ecosystems and local LLM frameworks
Ability to explain threat hunting objectives and risk to mixed audiences
