The Senior Underwriter will underwrite individual ocean marine risks, assess exposures and controls, analyze claims and losses, apply financial and actuarial principles, and use pricing and reinsurance techniques to achieve profitable results. The role also involves customer presentations, broker relationship development, audits, underwriting meetings, cross-selling, and approximately 25% travel within the Western United States. Candidates need at least four years of current underwriting or insurance experience, with ocean marine concentration preferred, along with strong communication, relationship, and Microsoft Office skills. The disclosed pay range is $115,000 to $180,000, with possible discretionary annual incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
