Description
The Legal Action Center is hiring a Senior Vice President of Legal Advocacy to lead its legal department and serve on the executive team. Reporting to the Director/President, the role oversees legal services, impact litigation, technical assistance, education, hiring, training, supervision, strategic planning, fundraising, grants management, communications, and external advocacy relationships. The position requires a J.D., New York State Bar admission, at least 15 years of legal experience including 8–10 years in civil litigation in a public-interest setting or plaintiff's firm, and experience supervising attorneys and managing a legal department. The role is based in New York City with a hybrid work model and offers a salary of $175,000–$215,000 plus medical insurance and other benefits.
