Description
The City of San José is hiring full-time Senior Industrial Engine and Equipment Technicians, classified as Senior Wastewater Mechanic I/II, for the Power and Air Team at the San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. The role performs journey-level maintenance, repair, overhaul, emergency support, and training of lower-level employees on large stationary diesel and spark-ignited engines, power generators, gas compressors, switchgear, piping, and related industrial equipment. The position offers a Monday-through-Friday 8-hour schedule or a 4/10 schedule, with overtime opportunities, and requires relevant journey-level experience, a California Class C driver's license, and a pre-employment respiratory physical exam.
