Description
Apple is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to partner with electrical, optical, embedded firmware, and software algorithm teams on early-stage data-collection systems. The role involves developing robust and manufacturable mechanical designs using 3D CAD, creating proof-of-concepts, supporting fabrication and low-volume manufacturing, conducting thermal analysis and reliability testing, and assisting with assembly, integration, and failure analysis. The position requires strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, 3D CAD and 2D manufacturing-drawing skills, and a bachelor's degree; manufacturing, electronics, sensors, and optical-systems experience are preferred. Up to 20% domestic and international travel is required.
