Description
The Sensor Physicist will design, model, and develop radiation detectors including 3He and 10B proportional counters, ion chambers, fission chambers, UV flame detectors, and NaI(Tl) gamma sensors. The role combines detector physics, MCNP modeling, signal processing, experimental design, data analysis, product qualification, manufacturing support, customer collaboration, and production troubleshooting. Candidates need at least two years of sensor modeling and radiation-detection experience, a strong background in applied physics, and an M.S. or B.S. in Physics, Applied Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.
