Description
The role supervises security personnel assigned to a shift, assists with employee evaluations, disciplinary action, and counseling, conducts shift briefings and security checks, monitors inmate movement, investigates inmate complaints, and performs related duties. Applicants must complete eight weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire and meet South Carolina Department of Corrections requirements, including a high school diploma, eighteen months of relevant correctional, security, military, or police experience, and completion of the basic supervisory course within six months of entry.
