Description
The Patrol Sergeant provides shift leadership for subordinate police personnel, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, directs and evaluates performance, reviews incident reports, protects life and property through law enforcement, and manages assigned equipment. The role may be required to work outside regular shifts and perform other duties as assigned. Applicants must have a high school diploma and at least 60 college hours, current Mississippi police certification, at least three years of law enforcement experience, the ability to work with officers and supervisors, and no serious disciplinary actions. A college degree may substitute for supervisory experience.
