Description
The Correctional Officer will work at the Gadsden Correctional Facility in Quincy, Florida, reporting to a designated lieutenant and directly supervising assigned correctional officers. The role is responsible for inmate custody, security, searches, transfers, restraint, recordkeeping, emergency response, and facility accountability, including the use of force and firearms when necessary. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of experience in an adult correctional environment or related field, and a valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record; prior supervisory experience is preferred. The position pays $24.52 per hour and includes medical, vision, prescription drug, dental, life insurance, disability, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
