The role supports superior guest service in a restaurant by greeting guests, taking and processing food and beverage orders, serving guests, communicating with restaurant personnel, handling cash, maintaining dining areas, following food-safety and workplace-safety procedures, and completing opening and closing duties. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, one to three months of related experience or training, customer-service and communication skills, alcohol-awareness certification, and the ability to stand, walk, lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and navigate the work unit.
