Description
The Service Engineer supports the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of gas turbine engines used in flight applications. The role involves defining engine work scope, ensuring correct configuration and compliance with service bulletins and airworthiness directives, preparing condition and first-article inspection reports, supporting estimating and invoicing, participating in material review boards, maintaining shop orders and work instructions, and driving continuous improvement in shop efficiency, safety, and quality. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent ABET-accredited curriculum, at least one year of related experience, direct experience with the CFM56-7B or another GE engine product line, knowledge of computer software and gas turbine engine theory, and the ability to support off-hours or on-call needs.
