Description

Imunify360 is seeking a highly experienced engineer to define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for over 70 critical components of their Linux server security suite. This role involves building a comprehensive system to monitor and detect failures in real-time, ensuring reliability and preventing incidents like the recent 61-day security control disablement. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering leads to establish and enforce SLO frameworks, develop a robust collection pipeline using various programming languages, implement advanced alerting and escalation practices, and contribute to a remote-first, asynchronous work environment.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Substantial production-engineering or SRE experience, including at least one environment where you defined the SLO framework rather than inherited it.
Preferred Qualifications: Security product background — WAF, EDR, AV, vulnerability management — and the instinct that a security control's SLI is about enforcement, not uptime.
Monitoring under audit: SOC 2 CC7.x, ISO 27001 A.8.16, NIST SP 800-137 continuous monitoring. Some of this work is audit evidence and it helps if you have written for that audience.

Cost- and cardinality-aware telemetry design.
Fluency with agentic development tooling — we run a Cursor/Claude-first SDLC with internal and third-party MCP servers, and engineers here are assessed on how well they work with it.
