Description
The Elevator Technician performs complex maintenance, servicing, repair, and troubleshooting of elevators, dumbwaiters, and wheelchair lifts. Responsibilities include investigating electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems, conducting preventive maintenance and inspections, testing safety devices, evaluating equipment modifications, and performing related duties. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an elevator technician degree or elevator mechanic license, knowledge of hand and electrical tools, and the ability to work in physically demanding and hazardous elevator environments, including on-call emergency work.
