Tates Rents is hiring a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on construction and rental equipment. The role requires advanced knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, AC/DC electrical systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic components, along with on-site service, safety, recordkeeping, and customer-facing work. Candidates need mechanical experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to supply relevant tools; diesel or heavy equipment repair certification, small-engine repair certification, rental-equipment experience, welding and fabrication skills, and basic computer skills are preferred.
