Description

GDIT is seeking a ServiceNow Developer Sr Principal to architect and automate enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capabilities. The role involves designing and configuring Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) workflows, integrating ServiceNow with external data sources, establishing data governance policies, and customizing ServiceNow applications. The successful candidate will lead or support the implementation and optimization of core SPM modules, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior developers.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications: Expert proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM, including SAM and HAM
Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing SAM, HAM, and CSDM structures to ensure compliance, accurate lifecycle tracking, and cost optimization
Demonstrated experience with full-cycle SAM and/or HAM implementations
Deep understanding of software licensing metrics and physical hardware asset lifecycles from procurement to disposal
Experience in ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub
Proficiency in JavaScript, AngularJS, JSON, and REST/SOAP web services
Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Performance Analytic
Experience with other ServiceNow modules like ITSM or ITOM
Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective technical solutions
Excellent understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle, from smoke test to integration to production deployment
Ability to identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams
Ability to produce level of estimates and basic deployment plans for ServiceNow functionality
Strong organizational and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment
Ability to identify and learn new technologies quickly
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Ability to coach, guide, and mentor junior developers
