Description
The Settlement Officer assists the Branch Manager with residential and other real estate settlements, including preparing closing disclosures and settlement statements, reviewing closing conditions, conducting closings or coordinating with signing agents, disbursing funds, preparing recording documents, managing escrow and outstanding checks, and delivering closed packages. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least four years of HUD-1 and CDF settlement experience at a title company, at least one to two years of supervisory experience, a New Jersey title license, and Notary Public status. Pennsylvania and New Jersey closing experience, experience with purchase, reverse mortgage, REO, deed-in-lieu, and short-sale closings, and Microsoft Office knowledge are preferred or relevant. The position pays $60,000-$70,000 annually and requires a 35-hour workweek.
