Wabtec is hiring a Machine Shop Operator to set up and operate conventional and numerical control machines, fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, interpret engineering drawings, use precision measuring equipment, perform first-piece approval, maintain quality and production standards, and improve manufacturing processes. The role requires general machining knowledge, CNC operation, math and computer skills, a high school diploma or GED, and five years of machining experience. The position involves frequent standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to dust, vapors, and loud noises, and pays $24.50–$27.00 per hour.
